Dr. Sarah Feigon is a licensed psychologist with over a decade of experience in the cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety disorders, including panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and social anxiety disorder. She is also experienced in treating mood disorders. As Staff Psychologist at UMass Memorial Medical Center, she has developed group programs for social anxiety disorder, other anxiety disorders, and depression.
A native of Massachusetts, Dr. Feigon completed her B.A. in Comparative Literature at Brown University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She went on to complete a clinical psychology residency at University of Texas –Houston Health Science Center, where she received training in the cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety and mood disorders. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in psychology at Emory University School of Medicine, where she was based in the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program.
Dr. Feigon is a member of the American Psychological Association, Massachusetts Psychological Association, and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
Dr. Feigon is warm, genuine, empathetic, and collaborative as she works with her clients to develop skills to better manage painful mood states.
