Dr. Brian Dessureau, PhD

Neuropsychologist,
Westborough Location

Dr. Brian Dessureau is a clinical neuropsychologist with over 20 years of experience working with patients with neurologic conditions.  Brian originally hails from Vermont and received his BA in psychology from Colgate University, followed by his PhD in clinical psychology from Clark University.  He completed internship training in neuropsychology and geropsychology at the ENRM VA Medical Center in Bedford, MA, and postdoctoral training in adult and pediatric neuropsychology within the department of neurology at UMass Medical Center.  He was an associate professor at UMass Medical School and Medical Center for many years, where he developed and directed the clinical neuropsychology residency program, and served as director of the neuropsychology division for 4 years.  Brian has been affiliated with CNS since 2015, and joined here full-time in September of 2022.

Brian provides care for a wide range of neurologic conditions, with particular specialties in the dementing illnesses and concussion/traumatic brain injury.  His practice is built around a life-span developmental neuropsychology approach, which recognizes the constant evolution and development that occurs at all stages of life.  The goal is to help patients adjust to the challenges of their current stage, capitalizing on the knowledge and skills that they bring to the process at that point in their life.

Brian enjoys music and skiing, along with spending time with his wife and two children.  He is currently trying to find ways to stop time in order to keep his children from growing up for just a bit longer, so far without success.

Our Philosophy

“Individuals with neurologic conditions require a diversity of care to meet all of their needs. We want people who come to us to feel comfortable knowing that, whatever their situation, we will be able to meet and exceed their expectations, treating them not as a patient, but as a person.”
