Dr. Cuneyt Iscan is a board-certified psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. He specializes in treating wide range of psychiatric conditions with specific focus on addressing underlying psychological factors and brings 30 years of experience in this field. He earned his medical degree from Ankara University in Turkey. He did his residency training in psychiatry at the University of Michigan. His studies continued at the Austen Riggs Center in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, a center specializing in treatment resistant psychiatric conditions and application of psychoanalytic treatments. 

He pursued his psychoanalytic training at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. He is currently an active member of this Institute and American Psychoanalytic Association. He is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University Of Massachusetts Medical School since 2001 and teaches physicians in psychiatric training. He has numerous publications in the form of books, book chapters and scientific papers in English and Turkish focusing on psychoanalysis, applications of psychoanalytic theory in clinical work and personality disorders.
